CFC-Youth for Christ 2011 Conference Prayer

Jesus our True North

God our Father, we praise and thank You for all the blessings that You have showered upon us personally and as a community.

We thank You for the gift of CFC Youth for Christ, where we, as young people and coordinators can have an environment where we can grow in faith, hope and love. We thank You for reinforcing the value of family life and love for the poor in this community.

As we journey with You in our blessed country of Canada, true north strong and free, we pray that You bless and protect not just every plan and activity that we do, but also our relationships as brothers and sisters in Christ. As our True North, we are assured that we will not be lost in our journey to a safe harbour, heaven. We pray then that You give us the grace to go beyond ourselves and be a compass to other young people pointing them to that True North, so that they, too, will not be lost in the journey.

One of the pit stops of our journey is the YFC Canada Eastern and Western Conferences. Bless these conferences, O Jesus, our True North. Bless all the preparations including all the people preparing for the event. Provide us the logistical equipment and lead us to the people who can best express your message. May it be a grace-filled journey for the team preparing the events and a grace-filled conference for all our participants.

We journey as one Canada, together with our blessed Mother Mary and her chaste spouse St. Joseph, patron saint of Canada. Glory and praise to You, our True North, Jesus Christ. Amen.
